Forces of Mana: Plot

In the distant future, an epic day falls upon the Earth when nearly all known religions have their Judgment Day on the same day. The most tragic was the fall of Christianity. On that fateful day the entire world would end, two forces arrived high above the Earth to fight for its domination. The Kingdom of Heaven, an army consisting of angels led by a woman-like figure known as “God,” and The Army of Darkness, an army of demons led by a male known as “Lucifer.”

In this epic battle, God and Lucifer fought for nearly one hundred days, neither more powerful, both equally matched. When they both collided in battle, they formed a gray light that covered the sky. From within the light rained glowing, bright, colorful spheres that fell to the Earth and buried themselves in the soil upon impact. When God and Lucifer locked weapons and neither of them could move, the gray light ate away at their existence, slowly destroying them, when finally they were both consumed. With their last breath, they ordered their armies to continue the fight on Earth until they conquered it. God and Lucifer both eroded in time along with the other religions. With the decree of God and Lucifer came the beginning of The Shinko Wars, a war in which human cities, monuments, artifacts, ideals, and ideas where destroyed by either angels or demons in an attempt to revert back to the old biblical ways of life during the middle ages. During the Shinko Wars, angels and demons would use humans as there power source to fight one another because humans have the ability to empower them through (sometimes forced) prayers in a new form of religion called Arcadianism.

The Earth is in ruins after The Shinko Wars finally ended when angels and demons agreed to live in peace. The wars ended with the help of a legendary angel and demon that represented there races, as well as a half-angel half-demon named Gabriel. With all the religions finally fulfilled and the world at a technological standstill of roughly 2000AD technology, humans lived from that point on without religion. Soon after the war, humankind wonders what to do next, soon they start to study the places where the spheres fell and were embedded in the ground during Judgment Day and figured out that they gave off free energy of a certain element, it was antiquity dubbed as Magic/Mana. With the discovery of magic, humans sought to use it to fix their ruined planet. When the most basic elements of magic are gathered in one spot they give off a eerie aurora that pulses in double heartbeat patterns like a living organism, this strange phenomenon is know as called the Forces of Mana.

After studying this, scientists gathered enough raw Mana to test the pulse even further, what happened next was most unexpected…humans opened a portal to a distant world called Rhomphaia. The dimension of Rhomphaia is a beautiful place where people of many animal-human like races live. The inhabitance of this strange new world noticed that humanity was roughly ahead of them in technology, were as the Rhomphaians where still in the industrial era according to human eyewitnesses. The people of Earth pleaded the citizens of Rhomphaia to move to Earth and start a new life under a “free world of opportunity.” Over the course of 10 years Earth opened its doors too Rhomphaia then suddenly closed them for a horrifying purpose. Earth had gathered over 10 years worth of kind human-like people just to enslave them for the sole purpose of rebuilding there own planet. Angels and demons paid no attention to this new slavery act committed by mankind…however one such angel was prayed upon by a grope of humans because of who his father was. He lost his angelic family to of a radical group of humans who are seeking out angels and demons who hold within them one of the Seven Holy Virtues or the Seven Deadly Sins. Apparently the souls of the seven virtues and sins are the keys to unlocking the gates to both Heaven and Hell for humankind, and with the death of both God and Lucifer, anyone brave enough can try and claim the thrones of both Heaven and or Hell for themselves to command the afterlife and all angels and or demons alike!

The Year is 30XX, 10 years since the enslavement, 20 years after the discovery of the world Rhomphaia and 30 years after the end of The Shinko Wars. The world is falling apart…Will humans and the newly discovered races of Rhomphaia ever learn to live in peace….?
